an alarm clock prayer

riyadh, k.s.a – giving time for a prayer…here's some way for a quick prayer.

when your alarm goes off in the morning, open your eyes and repeat this line from the psalms: "this is the day the lord has made. let us rejoice and be glad."

commit to living in gratitude for the day, and you'll soon notice how much happier your days can become.

lord, i seek refuge in you…

riyadh, k.s.a – an evening prayer we would like to share..

night has come upon us and the night has come with the dominion belonging to god. all praises is due to god, there is none worthy of worship except god, he has no partners, and he is able to do all things…

lord, i ask you the best of this day and what comes after it, and i seek refuge in you from laziness and the worst of old age. lord, i seek refuge in you from the punishment of hell and the punishment of the grave.

happy father's day…

riyadh, k.s.a – on this very special day, from the deepest of my heart, i would like to thank you 'tay for all the things you've thaught me…happy father's day, po!

we would like to greet also all the fathers in the entire world, wishing you all the best of health and all the good things to come…

…but they'll never take our freedom!

riyadh, k.s.a – for many weeks now, we are on our difficulties…i've seen and experienced how filipinos suffered from maltreatments and injustices, right now, we come as one struggling and fighting for our rights as free men…eventhough others are pulling and betraying us down…

the only thing that ascends courage for us to fight are the words from william wallace…"you have come to fight as free men, and free men you are. what will you do with that freedom? will you fight? aye, fight and you may die, run and you'll live. at least a while. and dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell your enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!"

we firmly believe, evil has no power over good! we are on our last hurrah, god save us all…

chocolate coffee at its best

olaya, riyadh - drinking coffee is the much loved pastime among arabs and other nationalities here in riyadh…from olaya to any point in the city, coffee shops are almost conveniently everywhere…it was a night before our amigo reunites with his wife in calgary, alberta…derek, with anthony mangila and i decided to have a sip or two in the not so famous cafe in town but more preferably the most sought after chocolate coffee drinks  in the city…

chocolate coffee drinking at its best at mondo marrone highlights our last evening of being together…we talked while sipping the best cold chocolate coffee in the house, i preferred coffee vanilla chocolate with caramel toppings and the rest, with toffee chocolates delights…both are really something great for our taste buds…

what we really like most in the place are the friendly kababayans, yes, counts of pinoy spreading out hospitality out there making mondo marrone a real nice and friendly cafe to relax while having different variants of chocolate coffee drinks…to top it all, the most craved in the place are the luscious unusual shaped dark chocolates with fillings best eaten with hot dark coffee…sounds really mouth-watering…

ang mananayaw: his outstandingly art debut

riyadh, k.s.a – for me it was his worst day ever, seeing him like an irksomely hopeless debutant in the art scene, you know why? first grab a bottle of drink ( preferably a bario ) 'cause this will goin' to last long, the untold story of his unpararelled success ever embedded in the history of the underground international art scene…

given only a month of hard work preparations, derek cabanero, master el cirkulo photographer, decided to give it a try sailing on a wide open sea of the visual art scene…through the passion in his eyes, i knew he will definitely make it…the time was almost perfect, he's leaving riyadh for a wider circulation as he both trust on his creative fangs, call it great intuition, and artists are really good on that…

anyway, to pump up the climax, beforehand there's a huge white-spotted browned moth circles around us, a good sign to puree up creative juices in us, we call it an intervention…certainly the moth is another story to tell, cause i have this old-antiquated beliefs that moth plays an important link-root to his success, thus anghel dela quacha sail on….

sleepless, tired and exhausted, hours before the 24th day of the month dawns, derek haven't completed his pieces thus clearing out all the things for the exhibit, derek now have all those in mind to give it all to the pirates, raise his white flag up and abandon the voyage, most precisely, call it a quit, even though i can sense that he is almost there…

weeks and weeks, days and days of suffocating brokenness, beaten and pounded up stress…he need to gear-up his very last might to call it a fair fight…and so derek's masterpieces, a mananayaw (dancer) inspired from the belly dancers in the mid-eastern culture came upon…colored with striking chromatic yellow and cool shades of blue and electric kool-aid-like orange done in geometrical picasso-inspired patterns, his defining arabic images and style wowed and won the hearts of the spectators and choosy art buffs and aficionados during the successful anghel dela quacha in saudi arabia two-man art exhibit…

and the journey of anghel dela quacha begins…of course, in behalf of our debutant, derek i would like to thank also  the generosities of dearest friends and fellow el cirkulos who came by for the timely supports and inspiration, kuya arman panegro and dearest  anthony mangila who did the outstanding coverage of the great event, and were always there to tap our back and continue sailing on…

kudos to all the members of the cirkulos for the cooperation and congrats to our dearest derek cabanero for another milieu in his creative callings…mabuhay ang sining pinoy!

eccentric collaboration begins…

riyadh, k.s.a – when surrealism convene on collage grounds in one clear-cut similar end…unleashing art for art's sake…come 24th of april picture a nonconforming impressions through the defining ingenuities of two pinoy creatives…hailed as the two motivated surreal souls from el cirkulo, unleashes the unconventional perspective view of an impressionistic lives: one nomadic explorer documenting the sciences of life and what is it all about, and the the other half is a bohemian wanderer imagining the existence of glorified divine winged creatures in different strokes…

a melting pot of science and grounding eccentricities in one remarkable scarce connivance in the international art scene…his grand debut in the field of the arts, master photographer cum multi-media artist, el cirkulo founding member derek cabanero imposes small-to-large formats in acrylic and mixed media formats together with comebacking artist after ten long years of silence, the angel artist and an el cirkulo rens tuzon hold a two-man art exhibition entitled anghel dela quacha in saudi arabia….

an exceptional timely collaboration of two motivated artists defining such creativeness and melting together each magnitude of life's perspective: surreal bohemian and nomadic voyager….

last temptation of a surrealist…

riyadh, k.s.a - it was good friday, yes a holy week we spent the rest of the day with a photo session with two great friends and colleagues in the circle, alan diaz syfu and derek cabanero…first i was hesitant not to be involve in the session cause i have this in mind implanted by the olds not to involve in any doings nor participate in anything that can prick the morality in me, it's good friday…"patay daw ang d'yos!" all we need to do is to symphatize and be at a standstill for the rest of the week…

hmm…sounds outrageously religious…and so i keep still…but really, i can't help ignoring those great moment in the arts…frames by frames were too great, shot by shots were really enticing…the time were classified as perfectly classics, most specially when the model fashioned a black veil reminding me of mary magdalene…tempting me to point out and shoot…fine, mary magdalene tempted…and so for art sake i point out and shoot and the results were worthily laudable…

nonetheless, i did it for art sake…capturing great moments and forsaking not the creative juices that spurted out in my essence that time, and yes of course honing more of my skills in the fine art of the images and the lights…photography, and still keeping the faith in my surreal soul…

capturing israel in her panoramic lens…

ramat gan, israel - a fine city in the tel aviv district of israel which borders tel aviv to its west, ramat gan is also the home of one of the world's major diamond exchanges, in which israel's tallest building, the moshe aviv tower is located…from the towering city you can also locate one of our kababayan from binan, laguna happily capturing images of the fine city through her lenses…

a caregiver in israel, aileen greganda, is successfully working there for more than six years…a typical taurus person who truly loves photography, aileen is so comfortable using pentax dslr and really digging in to learn more of it, most specially capturing the images of israel in what she really enjoys, the panoramic views…she also dream of someday, somehow all her captured images will be feature in a travel magazine…

our charming kabayan who also a angelina jolie follower from laguna wants to extend her warm greetings to her dearest angels and some close friends in israel most specially to rose, jhay, tita mercie, kuya lowie and ate emmie…anyway, wish you all the luck for your dreams and continue hone your skill…also, give our best regards to all pinoys out there in ramat gan, israel…
