nagoya-aichi, japan - once again filipinos around the world unites to help their kababayans who have been affected by the earthquake, tsunami and radiation leaks in japan. filipino communities elsewhere, whose in the religious service, most specially also had launched their personal aid for pinoys affected by the turmoils, like the help for filipino migrants in japan (HFMJ). the HFMJ has also joined hands with other groups and individuals who have been praying for japan and launched prayers after prayers for the fast recovery of the shocked country.

in a personal written statement to reporter noel sales barcelona, mayo okawa tries to inspire and comfort her kababayans in japan who have been affected by the great tragedy:

‎"trials should not surprise us, or cause us to doubt GOD's faithfulness. rather, we should actually be glad for them. GOD sometimes sends trials not to punish us but to strengthen our trust in Him so that our faith will not fail. our trials keep us trusting; they burn away our self confidence and draw us near and close to Him."

in addition, in a private message to noel sales barcelona, mayo extends her deepest sympathies to the victims of the tremor and tsunami.

“to my kababayans who were affected in Sendai and Miyagi Prefecture: My heartfelt sympathy and condolences to your friends and loved ones who died and still missing. To all survivors, trials and hardships will make you closer to our Savior. With your faith in Him, you can make it, we can make it! Don’t lose hope, GOD is in control. I just wanted to announce that this is not God’s plan. GOD is love, He is merciful. We should not blame GOD for natural disasters instead, let us pray to our LORD that whatever happens, we love and praise Him and we need His mercy for whatever sufferings we have since March 11. I am praying for all of us,” mayo okawa appeals.

just like in japan, this day of celebration, the graduation day is so special not only among proud parents, recognizing the hardworks of their sons and daughters, making them so special by wearing a very expensive clothing during the ceremonies. women at a graduation ceremonies wears, hakama with embroidered flowers, and demonstrating the waistline, just like our international pinay fashion model mayo okawa wears…

by the way, hakama are a type of traditional japanese clothing . they were originally worn only by men, during the early years but today they are worn by both sexes. hakama are tied at the waist and fall approximately to the ankles. hakama are worn over a kimono. thus, hakama can be worn with any type of kimono except yutaka, these clothings are the light cotton summer kimono generally worn for relaxing, for sleeping, or at festivals and outings.

nagoya, nakaku city - the coming of age (成人式 seijin-shiki) is a  japanese highly anticipated holiday held annually on the second monday of the first month. the coming of age ceremonies have been celebrated in japan since 714 AD and was first established in 1948.  the known holiday is held in order to honor and encourage all those who have reached the age of adulthood, which is 20 years old over the past year.

the coming of age ceremonies help the young new adults realize that they have become a full grown-ups and ready to bear all those expanded rights and responsibilities of being a wise and responsible new adults that can help out with the declining population as the governing authorities wants them to be, "stop playing and be a responsible new adults".

young new adults celebrate the day by wearing kimono and zori sandals. since most are unable to put on a kimono by themselves, these young new adults need to visit a nearby salon to dress and to set their hair for the proper festivities. full set of formal clothing is really expensive, usually they borrowed or rented it specially for the festivities. the coming of age ceremonies this year was held at nagoya nakaku city hall, where young adults celebrates in groups with proud family and happy friends.

last january 10, our dearest kababayan noyumi okawa came into age in a very nice white accentuated flowered-pink kimono which we all know her much preferred color. so stunningly pretty as she waves goodbye to her cutey teens and welcomes her much more grown-up role in her prime life.

need to dressed up as early as 4:30 am where she was scheduled at the garden palace hotel in sakae, nagoya city. noch is so stunningly pretty that day and so delighted about her coming of woman as well as her proud pinay mother in view of the fact that the ceremony comes once in a lifetime, indeed a memorable one to be shared and experienced.

the coming of age ceremonies usually held in the morning, scheduled at 10:30 am this time at nakaku city hall. after the ceremony, the young new adults often in groups celebrate more of their coming of age by going to parties or going out for a drink or two, or perhaps, just savoring their being of a new woman with delighted friends and shouting out to the world…"that this girl has turned into a woman"…not just a pretty lovely woman but as responsible new young adult for the whole world.
