paseo de roxas, makati city - it was a day of peace, light and love as chin-chin gutierrez formally opens her exhibit titled altars of love at the le souffle in top of the citi 34/f citibank tower, paseo de roxas, makati city.

seasoned prized actress, environmentalist and inspiring visualist chin-chin says, altars of love is her way of offering in honor of the year of the two hearts of jesus and mary… the art pieces are artistically done from acrylic to oil which are both unconventional and intriguing.

again, our congratulations to our great visualist chin-chin gutierrez…

altars of love…chin chin's 3rd one-woman art show

le souffle, makati city- in honor of the year of the two hearts of jesus and mary, actress-advocate ms. chin-chin gutierrez holds altars of love, her third one-woman art exhibit at le souffle in paseo de roxas. the exhibit opens on january 6 and will run 'till the 29th, 2010.

chin-chin had her first solo exhibit in may 2006 at bliss cafe in baguio city. unfortunately, her entire collection — including her earlier works — were all lost in december that year in the fire that completely burned down her family house.

calling all angels…calling all angels!

sta. rosa, laguna - an inspiring angel song from jimi hendrix…and it really rocks! my inspiration since i started walking on their paths…

Angel came down from heaven yesterday
She stayed with me just long enough to rescue he
And she told me a story yesterday,
About the sweet love between the moon and the deep blue sea
And then she spread her wings high over me
She said she's gonna come back tomorrow

And I said "fly on my sweet angel,
Fly on through the sky,
Fly on my sweet angel,
Tomorrow I'm gonna be by your side"

Sure enough this morning came unto me
Silver wings silhouetted against the child's sunrise
And my angel she said unto
"today is the day for you to rise,
Take my hand, you're gonna be my man,
You're gonna rise"
And she took high over yonder

And I said "fly on my sweet angel,
Fly on through the sky,
Fly on my sweet angel,
Forever I will be by your side"

after years of getting his mind and hands into it, the results are just here…an i'm so proud that at his early age, his 8 years old now last december 11, his works are really amazing…truth to the old Filipino sayings…"kung ano ang puno, siya ang bunga."

the wings are back….

sta. rosa, laguna - its almost two weeks now i still can't believe we made it…gone are the days and nights of distress, we are back in our own hometown to celebrate holiday season with our love ones.

but for me, its goin' to be a busy life again..i'm back in town so i will be very busy picking up the pieces of what i left behind for the past 2 years in riyadh. hovering the town with angels…

right now my ANGHEL 2005 series are on sale at the Mga Obra ni Nanay Art Gallery located in #31 Sct. Reyes cor Sct. Lozano. Any friends who missed some of my angel works can contact Clariz regarding the paintings with a contact no. 0907-5581263 or email add at clariz_21@yahoo.com.

another lazy afternoon…again, before dusk

albadi'ah, riyadh -  it's getting cold outside, eventhough the sun is at its utmost heat, you can almost feel the coldness of the breeze spreading around our place here in badi'ah, a very known place in riyadh along the madinah road where you can locate the largest vegetable market in the city of riyadh.

so i decided not to "istambay" outside for sure i will get some terrible colds, so what else can i do but of course to stay inside and wrap myself something warm…again, laziness knocks in…doing nothing, staring somewhere, looking nowhere…i need to make myself productive, i mean creatively productive…

accidentally, i look upon ruth haynes' photograph which i took last year during the preparation of binibining pilipinas 2008 here in riyadh and find something interesting that i know i will make myself so very busy about …

really, the creative juices inside me fall in the process of making photographs clinch its decaying stages. yup, making the new colored photograph look like a "hinalungkat sa baul" old photos, which i find it more attractive and with more depth than an ordinary photograph, correct me if i'm wrong?

but, anyway, each and every one of us definitely have its own terrific taste when it comes to great photography, i mean great creative artistic photography…so thus, these "litratos" come forth…

one lazy afternoon…before dusk

badiah, tahad - it was the warmest of the afternoon, i decided to break that laziness in me, doin' nothin' but staring in the heat of the sun… instead of just doing that 'till dusk,  i decided to grab the cam and started to squeeze those creative juices in my mind…presto, series of old-antiquated photographs with some post-processings on the side…

the nice ambiance and the coolness of the place accentuated the whole idea of monochromatic photographs, more of it like taken during the japanese regime in the philippines. but all the photos were taken here in saudi arabia…

all done with just a tripod plus the 10 seconds count…
