ang mananayaw: his outstandingly art debut |

riyadh, k.s.a – for me it was his worst day ever, seeing him like an irksomely hopeless debutant in the art scene, you know why? first grab a bottle of drink ( preferably a bario ) 'cause this will goin' to last long, the untold story of his unpararelled success ever embedded in the history of the underground international art scene…
given only a month of hard work preparations, derek cabanero, master el cirkulo photographer, decided to give it a try sailing on a wide open sea of the visual art scene…through the passion in his eyes, i knew he will definitely make it…the time was almost perfect, he's leaving riyadh for a wider circulation as he both trust on his creative fangs, call it great intuition, and artists are really good on that…

anyway, to pump up the climax, beforehand there's a huge white-spotted browned moth circles around us, a good sign to puree up creative juices in us, we call it an intervention…certainly the moth is another story to tell, cause i have this old-antiquated beliefs that moth plays an important link-root to his success, thus anghel dela quacha sail on….
sleepless, tired and exhausted, hours before the 24th day of the month dawns, derek haven't completed his pieces thus clearing out all the things for the exhibit, derek now have all those in mind to give it all to the pirates, raise his white flag up and abandon the voyage, most precisely, call it a quit, even though i can sense that he is almost there…

weeks and weeks, days and days of suffocating brokenness, beaten and pounded up stress…he need to gear-up his very last might to call it a fair fight…and so derek's masterpieces, a mananayaw (dancer) inspired from the belly dancers in the mid-eastern culture came upon…colored with striking chromatic yellow and cool shades of blue and electric kool-aid-like orange done in geometrical picasso-inspired patterns, his defining arabic images and style wowed and won the hearts of the spectators and choosy art buffs and aficionados during the successful anghel dela quacha in saudi arabia two-man art exhibit…

and the journey of anghel dela quacha begins…of course, in behalf of our debutant, derek i would like to thank also the generosities of dearest friends and fellow el cirkulos who came by for the timely supports and inspiration, kuya arman panegro and dearest anthony mangila who did the outstanding coverage of the great event, and were always there to tap our back and continue sailing on…
kudos to all the members of the cirkulos for the cooperation and congrats to our dearest derek cabanero for another milieu in his creative callings…mabuhay ang sining pinoy!
