Tyler is also said be as the Rose Capital of America because of its large role in the rose-growing industry in Tyler and Smith County.

Last June 30, the Tyler City, in 31 West Hwy, was captivated by the wonderful and most beautiful "rose" from the Philippines that really awe-struck the biggest heart of the Texan named Kevin Sumrow.

It was the biggest and the most happiest moment ever for our dear kababayan Thelma Ceniza-Sumrow from Abuyog, Leyte, joining her heart forever with the most precious man in her heart, witnessed by many dearest in their lives in the Rose Heights Church Of God.

Thelma and Kevin's wedding in the Rose Capital of America was of course well attended by Kevin's clan, their friends and relatives. Thelma's love story that started in Tsuen Wan District, Hong Kong and ended there in Tyler, Texas is an inspiration not only for those Filipinas wanting to marry Americans but as well as to those lovers fighting for their true love found.
