Pinoy Top Seed Soars High For A National Team Catch

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, To be in the national team is the biggest dream of every hardworking professional athlete, bottomline is: work hard, get lucky. Not one of the ultra-high successful people I've encounter got there up high without outworking everyone around them. While others are out feasting with the world - these great ones are down there honing and adding remarkable worth to it - burning the hours and getting up early showing life that they were dedicated to their dreams. It's lke, life helps those who help themselves. As simple as the law of nature: behind extraordinary achievement you will always find an extraordinary effort.

There's the old cliche: "Whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." I firmly believe in that and it hasn't changed for a years, or maybe thousands more - through great hardwork, the more success you'll going to see.

Apolonio Pascual Patricio III, a 2nd Year Information Technology College student from Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, tells the following story of greatness: "My love sport is really basketball, but my uncle always mentioned that, yes, I can play though, always with the ball - but the problem is, you will not always get the best shots and credits always goes to the team." Finally, Apol observed, that was the best advice he ever got. He soweth, plant seeds in badminton in early age of his 5th Grade, wears the passion on his moves and hold his heart in his racquet and work hard. He catched his first ever greatness during the School's Intramurals at Divina Pastora College, Gapan City - the Men Singles First Runner-Up, the rest is an old antiquated history.

With a very supportive family, his father an overseas worker in Saudi Electric Company paves way for him to conquer the international scene: his winning continues, Champion - Men's Single at Philippine Community School in Jeddah, Champion - Men's Singles in International Philippine School in Jeddah, Champion - Men's Single during his 3rd Year High School in the Triangular Meet, Champion - 2004-05 Men's Doubles, Gapan City Representative in Central Luzon Regional Athletics Association in Olangapo City.

Top seeder Apolonio continue his greatness: Champion - Men's Doubles in Power Smash Team Event Badmninton Tournament held in Cabanatuan City, Champion - Class B Men's Doubles in 1st Kalayaan Ambassadors Cup Badminton Tournament held in Second Philippine International School in 2007, Champion - Men's Singles in 1st EBC Invitational Badminton Open Tournament held in Elite International School, Champion - Mens' Doubles in 1st Inter-Regional Invitational Badminton Tournament held in Second Philippine International School, Champion - Men's Doubles in 2nd Inter-Regional Invitational Badminton Tournament held in Philippine Sunrise International School, Champion - Men's Doubles in 1st SBAHC Open Badminton Tournament, Champion - Mixed Doubles held in Humanitarian City, Champion - Level 3 Men's Singles in 2nd Riyadh (Indian Open), Champion - Men's Doubles at Indian International School, Champion - Men's Singles in 2008 Fun and FBF Badminton Friendly Match held in Al-khobar and Champion - Men's Single in the 1st Philippine Sunrise International School Tournament held in Philippine Sunrise International School.

Now, we're getting a clear vision of what this athlete want out of his life - his greatness on his way to the zenith of his biggest dream - to be a part of the Philippine National Team. He work hard for it, sooner we all going to see, he will be the toughest top seeders of their league.

All the best of luck, we all proud of you Apol and Mabuhay ka, kabayan! Many thanks for Sir Alan Diaz Syfu and the El Cirkulos Glen and Jeri for the wonderful and creative photographs of our soon to be tough seeder of the Philippine National Team
