Sophia, a simple-minded woman who loves Bossa Nova as well as Brazilian music is a God-fearing and religious individual. This one successful lovely Pinay chef really loves to swim, to commune with the nature by means of mountaineering and has a keen interests in photography.

SUNDAY, May 27 - From Fukuoka City, Japan to Pozorrubio, Pangasinan, a long distance call of sugary-syrupy like cotton candy caring from our dearest friend Juvy. Atlast, her sweet voice next to my right ear connects. Juvy, an outstanding teacher in Rouji Elementary School in northern island of Kyushu, Japan, heave a sweetest smile out of our below par condition that day. Can't find a stupendous drive to go on board last Sunday, and so whispers of good rest commands. Call it a Juvy psyche intervention, or just a thoughtful dear friend who really cares and knows when her dearest are down and in silent agony. Suddenly, the annoying bug troubling inside my system downgrades, curing with her soothing comforts of laughs and stories that will alleviately make you smile.

A funny-bubbly-kind of person, Juvy knocks great entertaining stories about her last year's visit to Baguio City, the Geisha (traditional, female Japanese entertainers) in Kyoto place with thick traditional make-up, originally made with lead or rice powder, which is one of their most recognizable characteristics, and her search of the de-uling na plantsa (charcoaled iron), that heals. De-uling na plantsa, is a classic film in the early 70's, and a tale about healing any kind of sickness, which she dreams of, becoming a healer with a charcoaled iron as her medium that will make her popular and famous in Japan, funny right? Nonetheless, she's fond of collecting antiques and old aged stuffs and really like ironing, whatsoever. Bottomline is, Juvy exerts time and effort to soothe and comfort a down and out friend, a truly concerned and so thoughtful friend. Thanks a lot, dear Juvy!

Our dear kababayan Mayumi Ishikawa, symbol of feminine beauty

The word Tokyo may refer to Tokyo Metropolis as a whole and it is in the region of Kantō and its prefectural flower symbol is Somei-Yoshino, a Sakura or cherry blossom, a symbol of feminine beauty and sexuality. Like the delicate cherry blossom, our dearest kababayan, now a permanent resident in Takenutsuka, Tokyo, Ms. Mayumi Ishikawa is also symbol of a Pinay feminity, so conservatively delicate. Her name Mayumi is a Filipino word of gracefulness, and best describe of herself. She works in Tokyo in a hotel reservation desk for more than 3 years now. Mayumi wants to greet all of her relatives in Muntinlupa City in the Philippines and also her friends in Bonouan, Dagupan City. Mayumi Ishikawa also praises and applauds Pinoy Overseas for giving them so much importance eventhough they're far away from the Philippines.

One of our dearest kababayan hailed from Iloilo City is working in Gimje City in a factory for more than 8 years now, she is Chayen Kim. Chayen, a very friendly Filipina and a happy Piscean is a hardworking Pinay worker in South Korea. Chayen also wishes the site as well as Pinoy Overseas, our Sunday radio program more power for making a real big difference bridging Pinoys out there and giving them so much importance eventhough their miles and miles away from home. She also wants to extend her warm greetings to all of her true found friends in Gimje City as well as in her hometown, Iloilo City.

Pretty Irene Nastor in Kookje College

PYEONGTAEK, South Korea - Pyeongtaek is a city in Gyeonggi Province in South Korea. Located in the southwestern part of Gyeonggi, Pyeongtaek is a newly developed port city, founded in 1986. Pyeongtaek is also located in the northern area end of Songtan, Gyeonggido, South Korea. Songtan achieved city status in its own right in the 1980s, but was merged, along with Pyeongtaek County, into Pyeongtaek City in 1996.

In Pyeongtaek City, we can locate one of our sweetest and pretty kababayan successfully enjoying the kimchi life out there. From General Santos, Mindanao, Ms. Irene Nastor is working at Ora Com Electronics in Pyeongtaek for more than 2 years now.
