CALABASAS CITY, California - From this point of time, prayers are all we need for our dear special friend whose been struggling really though from her kidney ailment. Posted here are the excerpts of her long message taken from her blog The Bleeding Heart to all her friends, family and loveones…

I have a lot of things to say today - all relevant to tomorrow. I hope you'll read this and really try to understand what it all means. I feel its important not only to my friends and family, but to others who might be facing the same decisions in the near future. I've always said that I believe no one should blindly go forward with a kidney transplant until they are at the point in their thinking that they can and will accept all possible outcomes.
As this entry comes full circle, I will answer my own question: "Can I accept all the possible outcomes of what happens tomorrow, and in the coming weeks, months, and years?" YES, I can. I was ready. I'm at peace and I'm in a positive place…
It took me a little over three years, being treated to get here, but it was worth every treatment, every needle stick, every scar, every ache and pain, and all the experiences of the treatment. It taught me that even if this transplant doesn't work, I can still live my life and continue being who I am. While I'm very optimistic about tomorrow, I am also realistic. And I'll take what I get. It's out of my hands and into the hands of the doctors, and as some may say, FATE. What the Lord wants, let it be done.
I LOVE YOU ALL

CALABASAS CITY, California - During the times of her illness, still we find the sweetness on her side, even when things are not going well. She knew how tough it will be goin' but still she doesn't crumble and surrender. We know her as the great Chef with a great smile on her face from Sheraton WallCentre in Vancouver. She's been making all of the feasts so sumptously great because of the sweetness she pours, maybe her one tough secret. But what makes her really something extraordinary is when life sends one of its inevitable curves.

It's been quite long, yes, we haven't heard any success from our dearest Chef Sophia Klaud, lately we find out that she's been recovering from a kidney problem and still in Calabasas, a city in Los Angeles County, California, "Hello, Rens, thanks so much and I do appreciate that you still remember me…Well, I got sick and got treated in US…I had a kidney problem and as of now I can't work, I have to stop from working due to some health problems…you take care, okay?"
Anyway, we really are so affecting that could happened to our dearest Chef, amidst all the blessings and all the graces on her side. Truly. life is no perfect, we all gonna face challenges, be it small or big. This very minute, there are people dealing with illness, in sickness, loss and in pains, but everyone of us have the will and the power to be tough and rise above any circumstances. Like Sophia, we all know she will be fine soon and will goin' to be in top shape again. This is the beautiful trait that can really inspires others, being grateful in life no matter what - and one will be proud of in the end. For you, Sophia who needs great attention more than ever and do take care of yourself. All of our wishes and prayers for your sweet recovery.
FUJISAWA, Japan - Pinoy Overseas are really that proud uplifting the morale of our kababayans out there amidst their sickness away from home in our own little way, that is why we continue to boost and give inspiration to lots of Filipinos living and working overseas. One biggest thicks and pumps in our hearts are their appreciation and of course expressing gratitudes. Here's Joy, one of our dearest kababayan in Fujisawa City, again, thanks a lot for your support…
Hello Rens, nakita ko na ang site, actually I'm not really from Hokkaido, I live here in Fujisawa City malapit sa Tokyo. Nag-tour lang kami doon sa Hokkaido. The truth is, I'm so flattered pero para a little bit shy ako, kasi makikita uan sa lahat. Anyway, andyan na s'ya, just hope that I can give a good example to all Filipinas living and working overseas. Actually my sister in United Kingdom wants to see the site too…we'll just wanna say thank you sa 'yo Rens and may the High Above bless you…
WAY back during my hibernating days, those depressing moments and hiding days, I breathe the life of an exiled artist, staring in the open wide space, doin' nothing, frigidly freezes like the stillness of the cold night. One rage that keeps the real blood of an artist pumping are the music that never leaves me even in the darkest hours of my solitude. Its all lonesome balladry, the title refers to the pastoral Mexican peninsula that gave the musician the inspiration for the set of lush and glistening ballads. It was Chris Isaak's guitar glides through the songs whose sun-drenched climate bellies sad-sack lyrical curved plus his neo-rockabilly side embracing the romantic crooning that made the Baja Sessions a thick antidote for my swelling. His version of Roy Orbison's Only The Lonely serve as the immediate aid for my fading grips, so as the tracks Waiting For My Lucky Day and Think Of Tomorrow, and finally igniiton in the juicy creative thicks in my bung up veins.

Elith in Japan, Self-Portrait 2004 Sketches Pencil & Pen
The resurgence was seen, the torch of the blistering fire melt down the frigidness of the artist block, the hell freezes over and so I started to seize some stroke and grab a pencil or two and think of the first prey my ressurected hands want to scrawls. Creative masturbation takes place, first, its like a thirst of beauty, a hunger for creativity and a desire of artisty, I begin to rough a draft down and up of sweet pretty portraits of some dear friends, and so here are some of the orgasmic upshot.

Arlene Delos Santos, Self-Portrait 2004 Sketches Pencil & Pen
So the surreal rebirth of the artist child within come forth toe-thumpingly howling and from the beauty of those lines and curves, of shades and forms, the Anghel Series III seeds. From 2004 to 2006 I started to hone and grind the creativity in me and created series of Anghel works which are now ready for the exhibiiton soon. This time around, I'm preparing for a comeback and wanting the world to see and feel its scorching rage and thundering fury…the ANGHEL III Art Series.

RIYADH, K.S.A - It's been quite long years of silence in the field of the visual arts…no strokes and shades from the artist once hailed as the surreal rebel angel in the arts. It's really a good thing I stomp both of my feet here in the land of the Arabs, from here I come face to face within the artist child in me, in focus and in concentration with the full force of silence. Sometimes it pays to trek away from your landbase to see what lies ahead in your trail.

Desert Grass, Red Sand Sand Flowers, Riyadh
It's like picking up all the pieces you have left behind, or taken for granted for so long. I started to be curious with the lights and shadows in photography in 1992 with a Praktica LB SLR from Bregenz, Austria, a gift from my Aunt Rocel Funk who's been succesfully living there. It's been a long years since I haven't taken nice photographs or two, since I hung the shutter of my old SLR camera, so I decided to begin another period of my creative path again with photography just like the old school days.

New Dawn Rising, Riyadh Panasonic LS70 7.2mp
Now, it's been quite shaky and a little bit scratchy using a digital point and shoot camera, a Panasonic LS70, but still they say, you cannot put a good artist down, or shall we use the old cliche, "its in the eye of an artist and not on the shutter of the camera". So this point of time, I'm grinding and sharpening my creativity here in the far away land where deserts are the main lure among our naked eyes.
From this period of my creative renaissance, I will try to share with you the humble beginning of embracing back again the wonders and grandeur of the arts and so its strokes, lights, shades and lines as I hone and jump back in the visual arts.
